The idea for this stool has it’s roots in those old circus images. You know, the one where the elephant puts its large, crinkled foot on a raised pedestal? We wanted a stool that could withstand that sort of weight while also being lovely to look at. Why then is it called a “Deckhand Stool”? It’s not meant for the circus ring but for everyday use.
