Candelabras Make Cover of Chicago Magazine!
Your skin tingles, you involuntarily shiver, and the words of excitement all get jammed into the roof of your mouth because you can’t get them out fast enough. That’s how it feels when something you’ve made, something you’ve worked on and put all your thoughts and strength into appears on the cover of a magazine.
That’s exactly how Dunes and I felt when we saw not one but TWO of our black four-arm candelabras on the November-December cover of Chicago Home + Garden.
Now for a little backstory. We knew that Chicago Home + Garden editor Jan Parr was a fan of ours because she was one of the first editors to include one of our products in the magazine’s blog. We emailed her as soon as we heard about the cover to give her a warm thank you and to find out how it all came about. She let us know that she did not know that our candelabras had been purchased by the homeowner and their designer Jeffrey Kebschull. It was actually art director Megan Duffy Rostan who was producing the photo shoot that day and brilliantly saw how amazing our candelabras looked silhouetted against the tall windows in the dining room. A special thanks should go out to photographer Katrina Wittkamp and stylist Diane Ewing for making everything look fantastic. Let’s just say kudos all around for a great team!
Then, the fact that we made the cover? We’re still swooning! Here’s more from the article inside.
Thank you everyone for helping us get the word out about Dunes and Duchess. We are so proud to be a 100% made in the U.S.A. company and to be featured in such a beautiful magazine!
Here’s an up-close-and-personal photo of the type of candelabra seen on the cover.
