The Rachel Sconce is a Style at Home Cover Girl!
It was late. I wasn’t sure if I’d read the email correctly. It said, “I would like to order two of the sconces that appear on the cover of Style at Home magazine.”
That’s weird I thought as I read it to Dunes.
We had worked on a photo shoot all day for New England Home magazine in Greenwich, Connecticut, and then had driven to Boston so that we could be at a shoot at 7:30 the next morning. It was after midnight and I didn’t have the energy to think about it what a mistake this person had made.
The next morning as I got ready, Dunes went to the Style at Home web site and there it was—a beautiful shot that included our very own Rachel Sconce.
How lucky are we? The amazing editor at Style at Home, Erin McLaughlin, had found us somehow, some way back when we launched the Dunes and Duchess line one year ago. We followed her on Twitter, she followed us back, we talked and BOOM! The most amazing thing ever. Who would have dreamed that one year from launching our labor of love we would be on the cover of a magazine!
A huge thank you to the Style at Home team. You’ve made a lot of hard work worth it!
